Dr. Binbin Michelle Li | Sydney CBD Acupuncturist

Founder, AHPRA-registered Chinese medicine practitioner and acupuncturist. Previously known as Binbin Zhang, Binbin has practised since 1999 and served the Sydney community since 2011.

Inspired by her maternal grandfather, Professor Hao Gang, Binbin developed an early interest in medicine. Her approach brings traditional Chinese medicine together with careful assessment, evidence-informed clinical reasoning and each patient\u2019s circumstances.

受外祖父郝刚教授的影响，彬彬从小对医学产生兴趣。她将中医传统与细致评估、循证临床思维及患者的具体情况相结合，重视个体化诊疗。

Binbin holds a PhD from the University of Technology Sydney, with research focused on clinical reasoning in Chinese medicine, and bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s qualifications in acupuncture, moxibustion and tuina. Her postgraduate training involved Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine and the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences.

She worked as a research assistant at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine from 2004 to 2006 and at the acupuncture hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences from 2007 to 2010. Her training included mentorship from Yang Jinhong and Zhi Lanying, with further learning from experienced clinicians across acupuncture and Chinese medicine.

2004至2006年，她在北京中医药大学从事研究助理工作；2007至2010年在中国中医科学院针灸医院工作。她曾师从杨金洪、支兰英，并向多位针灸及中医临床前辈学习。

From 2011 to 2017, Binbin taught Chinese herbal medicine and formula studies at Endeavour College. In 2015 she became a formal disciple of Zhang Jin, continuing her study of traditional needling techniques. Her professional interests include Chinese medicine education, clinical reasoning and practitioner development.

Consultations are available in English and Chinese. Services include acupuncture and individualised Chinese herbal medicine, with an interest in neurological wellbeing and overall health. Care is complementary to appropriate medical assessment and specialist treatment. Binbin is a member of AACMA and CMASA.
